LED Product Standards
Optik LED products have been listed as ETL, DLC and/or UL certified. These certificates demonstrate compliance to the requirements of widely accepted product safety standards, indicating that Optik LED products have the highest quality and efficiency available for LED lighting in the commercial sector.
Not all manufacturers have their products tested, forgoing the associated cost, due diligence and time required for proper safety assurance. Purchasing from one of these manufacturers puts your facility, business and employees at risk for having non-compliant products.
Other certificates (in addition to ETL, DLC and UL) Optik LED products comply with: cUL, cETL, SAA, ERP, CE, ROHS, PSE and E347834.

DLC (DesignLights Consortium)
The DLC (DesignLights Consortium) — serves efficiency programs and the lighting industry by maintaining the leading public list of high quality, high efficiency LED products for the commercial sector. Their qualified products list is a resource for program administrators, to help them decide which solid state lighting products to include in their energy efficiency promotions.
ETL (Edison Testing Laboratories)
The ETL (Edison Testing Laboratories) Listing Mark is proof of product compliance (electrical, gas and other safety standards) to North American safety standards. Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ’s) in 50 states and Canada and retailers accept the ETL Listed Mark as proof of product safety. The ETL Listed Mark indicates to distributors, retailers and customers that your product has been tested by Intertek and found in compliance with accepted national standards.
UL (Underwriters Laboratories)
The UL (Underwriters Laboratories) is one of the most common UL Marks. If a product carries this Mark, Underwriters Laboratories found that samples of this product met UL’s safety requirements. These requirements are primarily based on UL’s own published Standards for Safety.
